We first met in Cleveland, Ohio as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We loved our mission experiences and the opportunity we had to see each other serve. Erin returned home from her mission five months before Mike and was so impressed with Mike as a missionary that she decided to write him a letter. Mike quickly responded and it was through the letters written during those five months that our love for each other developed and grew. Our first date was two days after Mike returned home and five months later we officially tied the knot. We have been married ten amazing years.
We have two beautiful adopted children: Bryson and Lilly. We truly witnessed miracles take place as Heavenly Father helped us find our way to them. We know they are meant to be a part of our family. We love them as our own and can’t imagine our lives without them. We have an amazing relationship with both of their birth mothers and love them SO MUCH! Words cannot express the deep love and admiration we have for them. They will always be heroes in our eyes.
As a family we love spending time together. We enjoy playing sports, spending time outdoors, attending sporting events, having game nights with friends/family, attending cultural events, and cuddling up to a good movie. Our faith guides our daily lives and defines who we are as individuals and as a family. Our greatest desire is to return as a family to the presence of our Heavenly Father.

"Life is not a competition with others. In its truest sense it is a rivalry with ourselves. We should each day seek to break the record of our yesterday. We should seek each day to live stronger, better, truer lives; each day to master some weakness of yesterday; each day to repair past follies; each day to surpass...ourselves. And this is but progress."
